My name is Evan Powers, LPC. I am a counselor in Loveland. I am here to help you through whatever comes next.

my Mission and philosophy

Being in the business of helping others, I had to be able to answer some important questions for myself. For one, what does it mean to me to help another person? For some, it means coming up with a solution to their problems. There is something comforting about that, I must admit. As I thought about that, though, it did not feel complete. In a way, it felt counterproductive to a large extent. It seems that this kind of help leaves people in need of coming back the next time something goes awry. For this reason, my idea of helping others means walking with them through their journey for as long as they might have use for my company. Perhaps I can highlight a path that was not obvious before. Maybe I am there as an extra support for the path already under way. Sometimes, I can work along side someone until they are ready to take a first step on any path at all.

Ultimately, helping means struggling alongside you. Your journey is too precious and complex for me to be a guide through your life. Instead, I am here to learn with you. To get to know you as you get to know yourself. As you bring more to the forefront, my understanding of you will evolve and grow. This process allows us to forge a partnership for the trials ahead.

To date, I have helped clients set and achieve new goals while simultaneously addressing the underlying behavioral and emotional issues that first led to cumbersome feelings of stagnation or dissatisfaction. My aim is to now do the same thing for you. By focusing my skills and passion in mental health, I will act as a resource no matter where you are in your personal journey. Whether you are looking for your first resource or just need that final piece to pull your efforts together, I will help you achieve the life that has always seemed just out of reach.
